Dave is in Boston for three weeks, attending Wolfram Research's NKS Summer Institute. On July 16th, the Great National 2011-12 Road Trip will officially begin -- relatively slowly and sedately, with a one-week trip from the Adirondacks to Maine and back, hopefully to climb Katahdin in Baxter State Park. We have any number of people to visit along the way, particularly Sarah's Cousin Margaret in Vermont, the kids' grandfather near Bangor, and Dan Barrett and family in Orono, where Dan is just finishing a two-year stint teaching trombone at the University of Maine.
Sarah is finishing her packing in Syracuse today, and will be climbing into her car and heading for Iowa City, Iowa, sometime this afternoon (!). Calvin and Isabel are spending the next few weeks with their grandparents in the Adirondacks, with Dave dropping by on the weekends to give the grandparents a short break.
